Ethical Production
From the day we founded A QUESTION OF we agreed that using organic cotton was not enough. We also wanted to critically focus on the actual production process of our products, and which business partners to use in this process. Good, safe working conditions for the factory workers are essential to us when looking for possible business partners. Therefore we only work with factories that promote ethical workplace conditions and human rights for all of their employees.
To ensure ethical workplace conditions we work together with suppliers who have signed the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). The BSCI is a code of conduct built on the assurance that our suppliers are committed to protecting the labour rights of the workers under the protection of the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Fundamental Conventions, OECD guidelines and UN Conventions. This ensures us that the management of our respective partner factories are actively upholding a high level of social accountability, thereby living up to the same high standards we at A QUESTION OF hold ourselves to.
